Your fleet is your most valuable asset. RouteNio gives you complete operational control over every vehicle with dynamic forms that adapt to your fleet type.
Adding Vehicles
Navigate to Fleet → Add Vehicle and complete the form:
- Select your Vehicle Type from your fleet-specific list.
- Enter Registration, VIN, Make, Model, Year, and current Odometer or Hourmeter reading.
- Fill in fleet-specific fields - axle config and GVM for trucks, passenger capacity for buses, vessel class for boats.
- Upload vehicle photos from multiple angles.
- Set status to Active, Maintenance, or Decommissioned.
Select your fleet type at signup and every field, label, and validation adapts automatically - from trucks to boats to aircraft. No manual form configuration.

When a vehicle's service interval becomes overdue, its status indicator turns amber (due soon) or red (overdue) - preventing dispatch of vehicles needing maintenance.
GPS Tracking & Geofencing
Know where every vehicle is, right now. Live GPS positions update every 30–60 seconds on your dashboard and Fleet Map.
Geofencing lets you define virtual boundaries around depots, job sites, and restricted areas:
- Monitor depot arrivals and departures
- Verify job site visits
- Detect unauthorised use outside business hours
- Track time at client locations for GPS-verified billing
Route Replay - Replay any vehicle's route for any past date to verify stops and time spent at each location.
GPS tracking is included on Grow plans and above, or available as an add-on for Launch plans. Set up through Settings → Integrations.
Fleet Operator Assignment
Assign fleet operators to vehicles - that vehicle becomes the default selection when creating jobs for that operator. Reassign at any time.
Live Command Centre
The Live Command Centre (Fleet → Map) shows a fleet-type-aware map with compliance-aware status colour-coding, industry data HUD, compliance alerts, and Site Time Log for GPS-verified billing.
Dwell Detection (On-Site Auto-Status)
Automatically updates job status to "On Site" after 5 continuous minutes within 100m of a delivery address, and sends client notifications.
